AKA under fire by fans
When your fans sign a petition putting you to the test, how do you respond?
AKA fans have kept their Composure over the past few weeks as Cassper and his fans owned social media, ranting and raving about #FillUpTheDome, now they want their Supamega to hit back?
How?
By filling up the 94,000 seater FNB stadium.
A few weeks ago, Cassper Nyovest, real name Refiloe Phooo – became the first local artist to fill up the dome venue. Now, AKA fans have started an online petition asking him to #FillUpFNBStadium. Tall order?
The petition reads: “AKA – is the first South African musician to get four Best African Act nominations in one year at the Black Entertainment Television in the USA, the MTV Europe Music Awards in Milan … as his fans, we would like the opportunity to celebrate his huge milestone with him in a big way and we propose that he unlocks FNB Stadium with us because we are the BADDEST team”.
Currently the petition stands at 1 843 signatures.
AKA – real name Kiernan Forbes and Cassper created the biggest beef thus far in the South African hip hop industry and there seems to be no end to it.
AKA drew first blood when he released his diss track, Composure – which was aimed at Nyovvest who hit back with “Dust to dust”, which spared no insult at AKA’s personal life.
AKA maintains that he has turned a blind eye and deaf ear to his arch rival, but all eyes are on hi to see whether he will heed the call from his fans.
