Surprise! Man stuns family by arriving home on the day of his funeral
Updated | By J Sbu
"When I initially saw this story, I could not believe my eyes. This has to be the weirdest story ever?!" says J Sbu.
The parents of Paraguayan Juan Ramon Alfonso Penayo, 20, got the shock of their lives when they saw their 'dead' son walk into their home on the day of his funeral.
News24 reports that Juan's parents assumed that he died in gang violence after he did not return home following a good few days.
Thinking the worst, the family got together and arranged to bury what they initially thought were his remains. Suddenly, enter Juan into the home on the day of his own funeral. Awkward!
I always thought the idea of showing up to your funeral has to be the greatest prank of all time. It's like: "Tada, why ya'll crying? Gotcha!" But now that I'm a parent, the thought gives me goosebumps.

It would freak the hell out of me if my son disappeared for more than a day, let alone a week. If I were Juan's father, he would've received the hiding of his life following tears of joy after seeing him. Phew!
