There’s something truly captivating about a person who exudes confidence – it’s like watching a flower blossom.
Much like flowers, which don’t compare themselves to others or worry about how brightly they bloom, true confidence is focused inward. It can sometimes be mistaken for arrogance, but there’s a clear distinction between the two.
One describes a person's genuine belief in their abilities, while the other describes a lack of humility and an enlarged sense of self-importance.
We came across a woman who displayed confidence as she walked through Sandton City with her hair colour still drying in her hair.
The video was posted by Sayuri Pillay, and the woman in the video is her mother.

The mother had things to do and didn't have time to sit and wait for her hair colour to cure before washing it off.
"You can't pull off anything without confidence. I appreciate and respect confidence, and I think most people do, too. You need to own who you are, and that's it. I love myself," she said.

One person was brutally honest and shared, "Omg, this is something I do, not because I’m confident but because I don’t care."
As we celebrate Freedom Day, perhaps this is the mindset many of us need to embrace – letting go of the worry about others' opinions and confidently expressing ourselves without fear of being labelled arrogant.
True freedom lies in being unapologetically ourselves.
