Things get heated when passenger pays taxi driver with R200

A content creator took things too far when he decided to go head-to-head with a taxi driver on a morning ride.

Content creators are willing to push the limits with their content. It gets their videos noticed and earns them authority and money on social media platforms

In South Africa, like in many other parts of the world, content creators try to meet the narrative by focusing on relatable content.

Yung_earn, a content creator and musician with over 70,000 Instagram followers, challenged someone most people wouldn't dare challenge.

A social media user dared him to catch a taxi in the morning and pay with a R200 note.

Those who travel using public transport will tell you this is an absolute no-no. He accepted the dare like a soldier and caught the early morning taxi carrying a R200 note.

Things took a turn for the worse when he boldly passed the R200 note to the front of the taxi. Yung_earn spoke up softly when the taxi driver aggressively asked, "Hello, who's paying for R200?"

That's when things got heated. The driver asked why he was paying with R200, and he responded, "What's wrong, driver?" The driver then went on to say that he didn't have change.

It's the norm for people to bring smaller notes with them when travelling in a taxi, especially in the morning, but we bet this content creator didn't expect what was to follow.

The driver stopped the taxi and asked him to get out. The story got interesting.

In case you didn't realise, the taxi driver took the R200 without giving him his change.

The question is, was his content worth the R200? The video got over 31,000 likes on Instagram and over 1.2 million views on TikTok, so it was worth it.

However, there was a further twist in the tale. It appears Yung_earn staged the entire thing.

He interviewed the taxi driver involved. Kudos to him for bringing the drama.
