South Africa named most beautiful country in Africa

Well, not to sound vain, but we can understand why...

July is dedicated to Nelson Mandela, a man who didn't just believe in the beauty of our country but also our people. As we celebrate the spirit of Ubuntu and all things uplifting about our country, we have been filled with so much pride.

Apart from the recent sports triumphs we have experienced as a country, we also learnt about our senior street dancers winning gold this week at the Dance World Cup 2025.

We recently heard about the Rough Guides announcement hailing South Africa as Africa's most beautiful country.

Rough Guides is a website that allows travellers to tailor their travels to their likes and dislikes all in one place.

Africa has a wealth of beauty, from the mountain terrain to the most idyllic beaches. Still, over the years, our bountiful country of South Africa has featured as a highlighted tourist destination. Our diversity doesn't just stem from our people but also from the diverse natural beauties of our land.

We don't just have top-notch beaches; South Africa is also home to breathtaking landscapes, our unique culture, and wildlife. We are home to some of the most unique populations that can speak volumes about our heritage and history.

People were all too happy to share their love for the announcement.

One person said, "Not only in Africa, but we have the most beautiful country in the world."

It is always amazing to see how South Africans come together to share in the pride of our country. Regardless of our differences, we always stand united and practice the meaning of 'Ubuntu'.
