Open mic nights and karaoke are great for singers who want to showcase their talent.

They are also a fun night out for friends and family who want to let loose. Vivian Kay, a lawyer and singer, shares her passion for singing on her TikTok page. She posted a video of herself singing karaoke at a bar, and as it turns out, she was singing Ja Rule's 'Always on Time' featuring Ashanti

Besides who led the performance, her friend's look was the only difference between her performance and the original. While he didn't look anything close to the real Ja Rule, he matched his voice perfectly.

Watch the video from TikTok below.

People were surprised by what they saw, with one person calling her friend, "John Rule".

"Joe Rule here is always on time and believes if you're on time you're late."

"I was not expecting him to sound like that."

"Let me tell you something, John Rule will ALWAYS be on time, probably a little early."

"U can’t tell me that’s not Ja Rule."

Vivian said that her friend also does a good impression of DMX. Check out the video below, courtesy of TikTok
