Watch: Swimming elephant charges tourist boat in Botswana
Updated | By Damon Beard
A day out on the river for a group of tourists almost turned deadly when they encountered an elephant who wasn't pleased to see them.

Listen as Su-An Marais chats to Damon about the elephant that charged at their boat below, or read the details under the podcast.
A bunch of tourists got the fright of their lives when an elephant who was having a little dip in the water charged at their boat.
The tourists, including radio and TV Presenter Su-An Marais, were cruising down the Chobe River in Botswana.
Just when the tourists believed that nothing could go wrong (I mean an elephant in water can’t swim that fast, can it?), all hell broke loose.
I was very surprised how excessively calm the tourists were. If it were me, I would have probably wet myself. Ha! One of the lady's even said 'Hello Liefie' to the massive elephant. Not the reaction I was expecting.
This group should count themselves lucky that they managed to retreat without being harmed. Woah!
