Intoxicated driver records car crash on Snapchat

Drinking or texting while driving is bad enough, but this teen took a dangerous moment to a new level by streaming it on Snapchat.

Snapchat is a cool app. You can record the most fun moments of your life, put it on social media, and then it's gone after a few hours so that these events don't stick to you.

But the app was surely not created for situations like this?

A teenager filmed herself crashing her car on Snapchat while she was three times over the limit.

As an example, in America, on an average weekend, a car crash is responsible for the death of one teen every hour. That is a shocking statistic!

This shocking video shows a 19-year-old veering off the road in Victoria, Australia during a broadcast on the video app.

Fortunately, she got out alive. I truly hope she has learned a good lesson. 

The woman’s cracked iPhone screen was even left with an imprint of a Mazda logo after the vehicle’s airbag deployed into it.

She subsequently was taken to court and was charged with numerous traffic-related offenses, including driving at a dangerous speed, careless driving, driving in a dangerous manner, and the use of a mobile phone whilst driving.

Her license was subsequently suspended and she received a fine amounting to R13,664!
