Damon: I am disturbed by how easy it is to physically hurt a child

Very distressing footage has emerged showing a mother kicking her baby because she won’t stop crying. How is something like this even acceptable? Why did the police not lock her up?

Child abuse comes in many forms.  From sexual, physical, emotional, mental, and neglect.

I'm pretty sure that with so many child abuse cases people turn a blind eye. Why though?

Is it because they just don't want to get involved or perhaps they fear the repercussion of standing up for what is ultimately right.

If you are certain that abuse is occurring then surely you are obligated by the rules of decency to do something about it?
So in this day and age where most people have a cellphone, at least it's easy enough to take some sort of footage if you see something happening that's out of the ordinary.

I have to be honest and say that when I saw the link to the video I was hesitant to watch it - but I did, and as I imagined, I felt sick to my stomach.

This disgusting excuse for a human being doesn't even deserve to be a mother. The footage shows this despicable mother kicking her daughter in the stomach as she lies on the ground.

Why did she kick her? Because' the child wouldn't stop crying'!

What disturbs me, and actually infuriates me more, is that the police just gave the woman a verbal warning.

Perhaps if we get enough comments below, we can send them to the Police in South East China where this incident took place in the hope that this so called mother gets more than just a verbal warning?

Thank goodness the baby didn't suffer any obvious injuries and she's now being cared for by her grandparents.

And yes, abuse is happening right here in our own backyard. Don't keep quiet. There is a 24/7 toll free Crisis Helpline providing an accessible and immediate service to all children in KwaZulu –Natal whenever and wherever they may require help.

Warning: This footage is distressing.
