Getting old is part of life, but when you are actually in the midst of old age, we can imagine it must be quite surreal.

One moment you are living a completely different life and you blink... and your age has caught up with you.

For one man, it wasn't that age had caught up with him but rather the fact that the authorities thought he was dead...

"102-year-old Duli Chand’s pension was stopped because Indian authorities could not believe he was still alive." (MSN)

He has not received his pension since March this year, and decided to make a grand point of showing authorities that he is very much alive.

He arrived "at a government office in a horse-drawn carriage wearing full wedding garb and accompanied by a brass band and declared, “I’m alive!”" (MSN)

We have to say, we love his sassy attitude.

According to reports, his grand arrival was done as a way of getting the attention of those in charge.

He sat on a decorated chariot and "took a procession to hand over a memorandum to the administration and former minister Manish Grover urging them to restore his old-age pension." (MSN)
