When it comes to snakes, we have to firmly say that we are not fans. In fact, after hearing this story, we assume that many of you will be a bit more wary when allowing your kids to play outdoors.

In the village of Kantar, near Bingol, Turkey, a two-year-old girl was bitten by a snake.

But her reaction is what saved her life and has left many in shock.

"The toddler was playing in the backyard of her family's home when her screams brought neighbours running. When they reached her, they found her with a bite mark on her lip, and a snake between her teeth." (India Times)

Just picturing this image leaves us with chills down our spines. The young girl was rushed to the hospital and placed under observation for 24 hours.

It was said that the toddler was in fact playing with the snake when it bit her on her lower lip.

But the young girl instinctively acted as any toddler would, she bit the snake back, which resulted in the snake's death.

The toddler's father was at work when the incident occurred. He believes that it was the hand of God that protected his little girl.

Inevitably, children love to play outdoors, so keeping them safe throughout every outdoor interaction is not realistic.

But if you know that the area you live in has snakes, then you should definitely not leave your child unattended.

Turkey has 45 different species of snakes, 12 of those are venomous and pose as dangers to humans.
