South Africa wins gold at Dance World Cup 2025
Updated | By Udesha Moodley-Judhoo
It's true, there's nothing but green and GOLD running through our veins...

We celebrate our youthful dancers with great jubilation as they revel in their recent victory at the Dance World Cup in Spain.
Our dancers came first in the street dance category for the senior dance group section. As a country, we take pride in our sports and recreation, and this is the cherry on top as we celebrate one of the key traits of our culture: dance.
The senior group performed at the Dance World Cup in Spain, making history as they snatched gold in what is said to be one of the most competitive categories. The Dance World Cup brings together the world's best dancers in a global showdown.
"From powerful pantsula footwork to amapiano swagger, the team delivered a performance that wasn’t just technical—it was electric. They didn’t just dance, they told a story, and the world felt every beat. The crowd roared, the judges were stunned, and South Africa stood tall at number one," says Giant of Africa on their YouTube page.

This win means more than just the glory that comes with gold or the pride for our country; it is an inspirational moment that speaks to every South African dancer wanting to make it big—an acknowledgement of our talent.
The Dance World Cup 2025 is still on until 12 July 2025 in Burgos, Spain. We wish the dancers all the best in the other categories.
