We will never be comfortable with the fact that there are snakes slithering around and we have no control over where they go.

And with the warm weather returning, snake catcher Nick Evans almost guarantees that there will be more snakes trying to stay cool.

The most recent one made an appearance at a home in Queensburgh.

The family noticed that their pet cat was staring intently at something under their claw foot bathtub.

Turns out it was a Black Mamba who had found a cool place to coil into in the warm weather.

"When I arrived, it was hiding under the bath. Imagine relaxing in the bath, and this came up to say hi? Would be interesting." (Nick Evans on Facebook)

Evans revealed that he had been receiving calls all weekend informing him of snakes that had been seen.

As a snake catcher, we know that they thrive on the catch, so when this family called him, he was pleased that they called him as soon as they spotted this coil master.

The mamba was not just a feisty one, but measured just under a meter, which Evans admits is always a handful to catch.
