Parents, how would you react to another kid pushing your child at the playground?

Parents, how would you react to another kid pushing your child at the playground?

It can be really awkward because your natural instincts are to attack when someone threatens your child, but the aggressor is a kid, so...

Children certainly thrive when they are playing and we love to see them in their element when they are in play-mode.

But what happens when your kid gets into a disagreement with another kid at the jungle gym.

Are you the type of parent that will discipline another kid or do you rather just encourage peace?

If anything, it is safe to say that it is an awkward situation. But as parents, we want to lead or should we say, parent by example.

And we know that our kids learn by watching. If we encourage bad behaviour then that's not really setting a good example for them.

But sometimes, some kids are just bullies

We recently found a video showing an 18-month-old stand up for his two-year-old sister at an indoor jungle gym.

In the video, which we believe the mother took, we see an older child push the two-year-old. The 18-month-old watches intently and eventually pushes the older child.

The mom who posted the video on TikTok seemed quite proud that her baby was able to defend his sister and himself. But what happens when you as a parent are not watching?

And something goes terribly wrong?

We guess that each situation is different, but teaching our kids to respect other children is an important part of parenting.
