There are many parents out there who are afraid to ask questions, mostly because they don't want to be judged for not knowing. It's a cruel world out there, parents can be hardcore...

This is one of the core reasons that Carol Ofori hosts the Bad Moms Club on her show. It allows both mothers and fathers to send in their concerns, and get some solid advice from both professionals and other parents.

This week we had a mother from Pietermaritzburg, Megan, who shared her story with us.

"Hey Bad Moms Club,

"I have a 3-year-old daughter and I’m looking for advice about her teeth. Should I be taking her to the dentist yet or do I wait for her permanent teeth to come out? One of my friends told me she should start seeing the dentist now already, but I don’t see the point considering these teeth will just fall out anyway. Any moms out there with some advice? This is Megan in PMB."

"Dental hygiene is one of the most important things we can teach our children. Unfortunately, for a lot of parents, getting kids to brush and floss their teeth is like … well, like pulling teeth. But if we want to protect our kids from having their teeth actually pulled at some point in their lives, we’ve got to show them the ins and outs of proper dental health." (National Today)

Megan's request for help prompted Carol Ofori to seek some professional advice. So she reached out to Dr Natisha Haripersad from Rejuvenation Dentistry in Cornubia.
