We love to hear about things that are happening in and around Durban that cater for the family. It not only allows us to experience fun with the whole family, but also allows us to return to a sense of normality from all the restrictions that the pandemic has placed on us.

So when we saw this event run by the Movie Boyz, we had to share it with you all. We got in touch with the organisers of the brand who were inspired to start outdoor movie screenings as a way of getting people to connect, most especially after what pandemic has done to us.

Clynton Cotton and Dudley Lambert, the owners of Movie Boyz, shared the motive behind the brand with us, and we loved how Clynton highlighted that their business philosophy is not not just about the movie. He spoke with such passion and care when he shared why they decided to start the outdoor movie screenings.

One of the main highlights from the Movie Boyz, is their vision of wanting to create an holistic entertaining experience. Making the night out all about catering to the whole family, so besides the movie screening, there would be live music, and open space for the kids to play.

They recently hosted a movie screening not far from East Coast Radio House, at the Park Square in Umhlanga. And it was so lovely to see such a great turnout of families. It was a double whammy event with a night market as well as a movie night.

A movie screening of 'Jumanji, Welcome to the Jungle' will be happening this Friday, 3 December 2021. You can get more information from the Movie Boyz Facebook page, here. Also they are very attentive on Facebook and answer questions consistently.

For more information on bookings, you can contact them on their business WhatsApp number, which is 073 828 6069, with tickets for as little as R50 each. You can also book tickets here.

Clynton left us with his last words of encouragement, saying: "So come out KZN come out families and experience the outdoors. Spend time with family friends and a movie of your choice. And don't forget "ITS  NOT JUST ABOUT THE MOVIE."
