LOCAL: What would you cook a lady on a romantic date?
The true South African way indeed...
We love how honest people on the street are. It never ceases to amaze us how they are open and willing to share their honest opinions on social media.
Street-style podcasts are a great way of getting to know what people really think.
Richard Valentine, who posted a video asking one guy what he would cook for a lady in a romantic setup, revealed a lot.
A lot about the average South African man, who is all about keeping it simple and real.

We can't hate the guy for being honest. Plus, because he made us laugh, we have to give him a B+ for effort.
In the video, we see the street interviewer ask a guy what he would cook for a woman in a romantic mood, and he responds by saying that he would keep it simple and cook Pap and Sour Milk.
A staple for many, but we wouldn't quite say that's romantic. We do, however, appreciate his honesty, he goes on to say that he would instead stick to something he knows because he wouldn't want to mess up trying something new.

At first, we thought he would receive some 'hate' for his honest approach to romance.
But it was quite enlightening to see that many people who commented, both male and female, gave him props for living within his means:
