LISTEN: Novak 'Djokervic' served an ace as Aussie's send him home

The plot has thickened.

Novak Djokovic

The plot has finally thickened and the Australia's Federal Minister for Immigration Alex Hawke has sent tennis ace Novak Djokovic packing.

Immigration Minister Alex Hawke said he acted on "health and good order grounds on the basis that it was in the public interest to do so".

The cancellation effectively means Djokovic would be barred from a new Australian visa for three years, except under certain circumstances.

In true Aussie style, here's a satirical report on how it all went down.

Regardless of your stance on the Novak Djokovic story, it has all been a bit of a palaver.

From threats of deportation to court battles (court of law, that is), the tennis sensation has been doing everything possible to be allowed to defend his Australian Open title (except getting vaccinated, but that's a story for another day).

He arrived in Australia a week ago, thinking that his visa had been approved. However, there were issues at the border with his documentation.

Novaxx, sorry, Novak's lawyers immediately instigated legal action against the Australian government. The Federal Court of Australia has since overturned the Commonwealth's decision to cancel his visa on health grounds.

In order to get some more insight into the situation, we have secured audio from an Australian reporter in Melbourne. His report expertly (and pretty hilariously) depicts the happenings Down Under, telling it as it is (or at least how he sees it...) - and it is a must-listen for all engrossed in this saga.

Take a listen below...
