What world would it be if Carol Ofori didn't get to speak to legendary comedian Trevor Gumbi

The talented comedian is a writer, voice over artist, MC, actor, and a father - and he performed in Durban last night.

It was so interesting to hear that he grew up in Umlazi and had a great life in Durban.

He shares such an honest outlook on life, sharing that he was a cocaine addict and has been clean for more than a decade.

Gumbi touched on the fact that he advocates for taking a break from things, as it is healthy.

We love the way he is able to remain honest about his own life...

Far too often we have people in entertainment or in the limelight who do not stay true to their authenticity.

For the most part, it could be that they feel they have to tick certain boxes and fulfill an image.

His honesty about dealing with his past and his mental health issues is welcomed in a world that still sometimes stigmatises mental health.

We love his energy and hope that this former Durbanite will visit us again soon...
