"There are two cities you can live in: scare city and generosity..."

If there is one thing that Carol Ofori does beautifully, it's setting the scene. She is a great storyteller...

And when she recently got an opportunity to interview longtime friend and colleague Anele Mdoda, she took this chance to do just that and more. She set the scene for us by sharing how she eagerly awaited Anele's arrival on the day of the interview.

Interestingly, she shared what vehicle Anele rolled up in, and to get you into the picture, it was a Porsche.

Besides offering up amazing and powerful words of wisdom about how she manages to do it all, she also shared something quite unexpected with Carol.

She shared what she would have been had she not been in the media business. Believe it or not, she would have been a teacher.

We really love how she is using her own experiences to uplift others in media. Giving people who don't 'fit' in the stereotyped image of what a judging panel or show host looks like, an opportunity.

She also spoke candidly about her friendship with Trevor Noah and Sizwe Dhlomo.

Listen to part one of their conversation below:

We do appreciate her honest yet spicy approach to things.

You rarely find people who can keep the candidness being in media, but she has and not just that, she is celebrating two decades in the industry.

And, of course, we can trust Carol Ofori to ask the questions that no one else wants to ask. When asked about love, she was open and honest that she has found someone special who is made for her.
