INSPIRING: Woman's tearful TikTok post turns into a positive convo between sistas

Perhaps we should stop living according to the timeline given to us by society...

It's difficult to act against that ticking sound that we have been socialised into believing as the decider of our life. The ticking sound of the clock as we age.

Not only have we been told from a young age that we need to attain that white picket fence, but we have also been told that we need to get the husband and the kids to go with it.

And as much as this ideology has evolved over the years, there are still many women who are looked down upon if they have not attained this by a certain age.

Life can become quite deafening when you don't have the support you need to take it on. And so we really do appreciate that many people are using social media to connect with others and to share their plight.

It somehow has brought people who are following similar paths together. Which we consider both inspiring and therapeutic in a way.

This is what we saw happening with this woman, who recently posted a video of herself crying.

Don't Hold Back Banner - East Coast Radio

The text overlay on the video read: "Will be 30 next year no marriage, no child, I always go to bed with tears."

Something like this could be seen as a cry for help and considering the amount of people struggling with their mental health, it cannot go unnoticed.

It is for this very reason that we enjoyed scrolling down to see stream of comments that came through from other women.

Many women shared her pain, whilst others motivated her to stay hopeful. Then there were those that posed the question of alternative circumstances and how someone out there may be in a worse state.
