Do you remember the Pumpkin Patch show as a kid?

We had a completely different childhood experience when it comes to screen time and Pumpkin Patch was a classic example of that.

As we approach the last week of the winter school holiday, we must admit that time flew by faster than we thought. However, we don't know if everyone would agree.

One of the biggest things many parents may need to reinforce as kids get back into their school routine is to limit the amount of screen time again.

On that note, we recently encountered a blast from the past, as David Kozlowski unlocked a core memory from millennial childhood: Pumpkin Patch.

Pumpkin Patch is a classic South African kids' television show from the late '80s.

Pumpkin Patch is the sunny town where the children's series is set. It features the mayor, Uncle Bill, Woofles the watchdog, puppet cousins Freckles and Speckles and friendly presenter Laurel.

Watching the intro of the nostalgic show got us bobbing our heads with the catchy tune. Pumpkin Patch, whoa oh, Pumpkin Patch, let's all run to Pumpkin Patch.

Kozlowski dedicates his Instagram page to transporting South Africans back to some of the great things that used to be cool, hip and happening in the late '80s and '90s. Other examples include K-T.V, Care Bears, The Power Rangers, Bubbaloo bubblegum, and more.

Many South Africans greatly welcomed his post, and 'Uncle Bill's' granddaughter even commented, "My biggest flex in life is that Uncle Bill on Pumpkin Patch is my Oupa."

Even comedian Loyiso Gola commented, saying: "When after school was after school."

Another person wrote, "No M-net, no DStv, no internet. Just a television set with educational programming."

"Watching this in Seattle, 42-years-old and still remember that song like it was yesterday!! Childhood in South Africa in the ’80s and ’90s was lekker man."
