We don't usually associate breastfeeding as a bonding act between husband and wife.

But it seems that is exactly what happened with this couple that have spoken out about their unusual bonding act.

Rachel and Alexander Bailey decided to share their bonding act with the world so that other couples who do this didn't feel out of place about it.

She breastfeeds her husband and says that it has strengthened their bond.

"The couple was on a cruise in 2017 and Rachel did not bring her breast pump. The overproduction of milk caused her much pain. Her husband Alexander offered to drink it in order to help her alleviate the pain. The rest was history." (Instagram)

What started out as something to alleviate pain turned into something that helped their marriage.

The couple has shared that they think this is completely natural.

"Alexander notes that ever since he’s been drinking his wife’s breastmilk he has gotten sick less and his skin has improved. He also says he prefers the taste of her breastmilk to that of cow’s milk." (Instagram)

So, it seems that as bizarre as this sounds to many people, it has helped them in their relationship. Both mentally and physically.
