American content creator's big tip leaves SA waitress in tears

There's something about our South African charm and vibe that people are drawn to. It could be our natural ability to creep into people's hearts or our charismatic approach to our work that leaves many in awe.
Whatever the reason, it is clear that we love hosting people as a nation, and it comes naturally.
An American content creator, Steven Schapiro, who recently visited Cape Town, captured a sweet display of our South African charm. He was enjoying a meal at a restaurant with his unofficial tourguide, driver, and friend when he encountered a charming lady who was his waitress.
Something about this woman tells us that she is this way with all her customers, which ultimately proved positive for her.
Schapiro was on a mission during his visit to South Africa to give away $100,000 (R1,7million) to people he encountered. He handed out large amounts of money to waitresses and tradespeople and even paid people's rent.
This waitress, Olivia, was effortlessly funny and deserving of the $500 (R8000) tip which Schapiro gifted her at the end of their meal.

In another video, he gets friendly with his Uber driver, who explains that he is from Soweto. They chat, and at the end of the ride, Schapiro gifts him R1,000.
The Uber driver then revealed that his wife had given birth that same day, and he was now a father. The money came at the perfect time. Schapiro felt inspired by the man's kindness and gifted him another R1,000.
