WATCH: Joy and elation as World Champions Springboks get heroes welcome at OR Tambo

The atmosphere at OR Tambo was electric on Tuesday afternoon as the Boks returned home after winning the Rugby World Cup.

The Springboks had South Africans at the edge of their seats this weekend as they smashed England in a nail-biting final at the Rugby World Cup in Japan.

Following their big win, the boys in green and gold arrived home on Tuesday at OR Tambo Airport and had a massive crowd waiting for them.

Hundreds of South Africans were clad in their rugby jerseys and were flying the South African flag high as they prepared to welcome the Boks back on home soil. 

Even the Ndlovu Youth Choir tweeted out that they will be in attendance.

Their victory tour with the Webb Ellis Cup kicks off on Thursday, and the bus parade is expected to hit Durban on Friday, 8th November More info on the tour here
