A Family Day unlike any other
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Families from across the East Coast jammed along to some of the country’s top musicians, while splashing about at uShaka Marine World’s Wet ‘n Wild during Saturday’s East Coast Radio Family Day, in partnership with African Bank.
The unique day out saw the artists perform on a stage suspended above water at the theme park and even encouraged families to team up in a race around the venue which included puzzles, a quiz and water sports.
East Coast Radio’s General Manager, Boni Mchunu says, “It really has been a fun-filled day for the whole family; from parents singing along to the likes of Tresor, to teens enjoying the mixes by East Coast Radio’s DJs and the littlest members loving the inflatables at the dedicated kiddies area or a trip through the aquarium. We really couldn’t have squeezed more fun into one day!”
Among the musicians on the line up were; electronic music duo Locnville, alternative rock band Gangs of Ballet, award-winning artist Tresor, songstress Lady Zamar, Durban band The Kickstands and The Voice SA’s Freddy L.
Head of Marketing at African Bank, Kaibe Mollo says, “It was a wonderful day. There were plenty of happy people, listeners of ECR and customers of African Bank, enjoying a great vibe. There were amazing artists and DJs and it was an overall excellent experience. What a great outcome for a first off at the East Coast Radio Family Day, in partnership with African Bank. It bodes well for a bright and promising future of many more!”
