Pushy boy puts hole in 350-year-old painting in Taiwan
A 12-year-old Taiwanese boy has tripped and accidentally punched a hole through a 17th-century oil on canvas by the Italian master Paolo Porpora.
The 350 year old painting, valued at $1.5 million dollars, and is now probably worth nothing!
According to Focus Taiwan news, the museum will not be asking the boy's family to pay for the restoration costs.
The exhibition organiser, Sun Chi-hsuan, said the boy was very nervous but not to be blamed for the painting, which is insured.
Thank goodness!
