23-year-old Leonie Muller pays 330 Euro for a monthly rail ticket, instead of the 400 Euro monthly rent she was paying.
Yes, this means she lives on trains.
Leonie, a student at Tubingen University in South West Germany, carries all her belongings, including all tuition material in a backpack and takes it everywhere she goes.
She lives, eats, sleeps and studies on high speed trains, washing her hair in the bathrooms.
Leonie says it works well as she is able to visit her boyfriend in Cologne and family in Berlin.
She says, “Normally, we would have to have a long-distance relationship. But living on a train enables me to see him all the time."
