What's wrong with studying?

​So we all know that for the last few weeks the young scholars in this Rainbow nation of ours have been obsessed with bringing down old statue. I’m not writing this to weigh in on whether or not this is a good thing on not. Mostly because like most of these kids, these statue, to a certain extent have nothing to do with me…to be honest until last week I had no idea who King George even was.

The only question I have is what’s wrong with just studying? How often do we hear about students at university striking about lack of education etc? I feel so bad for the parents who pay school fees . University is not cheap. Can you not just focus on completing your very expensive degrees and then come back as qualified Lawyers and debate in a mature way about the ethics of having these statues up? The really sad thing about it all is the way that these educated scholars have gone about showing their feelings… Really sad
