VIDEO: Terrifying first ride in world's tallest water slide!
Updated | By Rory Petzer
Watch the moment engineers ride the tallest water slide in the world. The Verruckt in Kansas City is taller than the Niagara Falls, with users flying down at speeds of around 105 km/h.
The two intrepid first-time riders are Jeff Henry, who developed the ride, and John Schooley, the ride engineer.
Listen to this: When engineers first tested the slide the empty raft fell off.
Schooley and Henry were aware of this when they hopped in for the first real test.
The slide is 17 storeys high and is based at the Schlitterbahn water park in Kansas.
Its name 'Verruckt' appropriately means 'insane' in German.
The ride is also taller than the Statue of Liberty.
Are you an adrenaline junkie? Would you dare take this ride?
