VIDEO: Robin Williams Emmys tribute
This Monday saw the glitz and glam of the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards in LA.
The auditorium was full of showbiz faces in flashy threads to match, Lena Dunham (who I adore) not so much.
It's always a jolt out of celebville when the slideshow of those who have passed on is presented, reminding us that no matter how much you earn or what car you drive, we are all here for a limited time only; as macabre as that is, it is.
I was wondering how the loss of Robin Williams was going to be dealt with and oh man he must have been beaming down as his great friend Billy Crystal spoke so openly and beautifully about 'the concept' that was Robin Williams.
"Every time you saw him…he made us laugh, big time," said Billy.
He reminisced about his time with Robin through the years.
"I spent many happy hours with Robin on stage.
"The brilliance was astounding…we were such great friends…as genius as he was on stage, he was the greatest friend you could ever imagine. Supportive, protective, loving," he added.
