VIDEO: Recycle bin feeds stray animals
There is a recycling bin in Istanbul that takes bottles and glass, and in return it gives food to stray, abandoned animals .
In Istanbul, there is a culture in which stray animals are cared for by the community.
This invention ticks two boxes in that it cares for stray animals and the environment at the same time.
It really is a win-win!
Believe it or not, but the concept is not a new one.
In Australia, some recycling machines (or bins) reward people with bus tickets in exchange for plastic bottles.
The Drive Team absolutely loves this concept. We think it is genius.
