Those of us who fly regularly enough hardly ever listen to the safety speech. Usually this is either because we are so bored of them or because we're in denial about the fact that anything might even go wrong.
You've found your seat on the aircraft.
You've been whacked on the head four times along the way by people clumsliy throwing their bags in the overhead lockers.
All you want are your earphones in to block out all the noise around you, and especially that impending long and boring safety speech to which you're so accustomed.
If you were on this particular flight from San Francisco to Chicage last week, and your earphones were in, you missed out.
The flight attendant cleverly gets everyone's attention, and possibly calms a few nerves from the outset, with his hilarious adaptation of the potentially long and monotous scripted string of safety specifications and intrsuctions.
The flight attendant reportedly even threw a cocktail party halfway througth this flight!
