If you ever won an Oscar, who would you be sure to name-drop into your speech?

Many people would imagine some sort of deity being in the top five most mentioned names in Oscar acceptance speeches.

Well, this is not the case. In fact, God only comes in at number six. 

Vocativ analysed 1396 Oscar acceptance speeches to find out whose name has been dropped the most, and the results might just surprise you.

As you're about to see, the most thanked people in Oscar speeches have all been film directors.

Who would the Drive Team thank?

Damon: Who ever was able to find Mfundo.

Rory: The honourary members.

Mfundo: The shopping centre across the road.

Dineo: The news, the news and nothing but the news.

JVB: All the pointsmen on duty.

Andre: The skipper of the fishing vessel.
