VIDEO: Bring a gun, get a discount!
Updated | By Rory Petzer
As the debates regarding firearm laws in America rage on and on, a restaurant owner in Louisiana has decided to reward clients who carry a gun by giving them a discount on their bill.
Bergeron's Restaurant in Louisiana has started what most would hope does not become a trend.
Customers who carry a weapon are given a 10% discount on their meal.
Restaurant owner Kevin Cox says the idea was originally to thank law enforcement officers who frequent his restaurant.
The Drive Team asks: Well, if that's the case, a simple police ID card could do the trick! Also, we don't think a place selling alcohol should be encouraging people to carry guns.
Cox says as long as everyone is carrying a gun, 'we're all the same size.'
He defends his decision saying it does not make his restaurant a more dangerous place, but rather a much safer place.
He hands out 15 - 20 discounts a day.
We'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Do you think it makes a restaurant a safer place? Would you go to a restaurant like this?
