Uganda – Home of the Grave
Updated | By tanstan fourie
Uganda has signed the anti-gay bill! Darren thinks they have taken time out and spared absolutely no expense in prioritising, legislating and implementing a law which will actively encourage discrimination in the worst possible way.
Not since the Nazi’s has such a concerted effort been made to “cleanse” society by putting to death “undesirables”
Where does this fear and hate come from?
Is it just pure unmitigated ignorance?
Is it a fear of the unknown?
Do we blame the Colonialists and their puritan, very Victorian Inclinations?
Do we blame a modern culture who through their compliant silence, fuel the fire of “hating homosexuals”.
Whilst the biggest names with the loudest voices cry the evils of homosexuality such as:
South Africa’s very own Jacob Zuma – “If a gay man stood in front of me it was my duty to knock him down.”
Uganda’s Yoweri Museveni - “They’re disgusting. What sort of people are they?”
Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson - “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers nor the swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”
US’s Michele Bachmann – “If you are involved in the gay and lesbian lifestyle, it is personal bondage, despair and enslavement.”
It is our very silence which makes it okay for the leaders of Uganda to think it an educated political move to isolate, intimidate and now legally slaughter a minority guilty of nothing more than the enviable ability to acknowledge their own personal truth.
Well done Human Race! You are officially retarded.
You have created an environment where it is now legal to punish love with death!
So, seeing as the mere suggestion of “gay” repulses you….you have now relinquished your right to watch Modern Family or How I met your Mother and certainly Lord of the Rings (with that gay Galdalf).
You don’t get to wear Armani or Dolce and Gabbana or Versace any more.
Musically - you don’t get to listen to Freddie Mercury (Queen), Ricky Martin, Elton John, Cole Porter, Liberace or Beethoven anymore and I just know Herman Melville had you in mind when he wrote Moby Dick.
If you are still on the fence on the issue of homosexuality, perhaps this might help you…
Ask yourself:
Is being gay a choice?
If you said yes, then answer this question:
When did you decide to be straight?
This Law is not a failing of Uganda; it is a failing of Humanity.
