Throw back Thursday: What was your life like before Facebook?

Do you remember writing letters to your crush declaring your love?

 

Or actually just sitting around chatting with friends? Today we find ourselves sitting in a restaurant with friends where we are either messaging other friends, “Facebook-ing” or tweeting at the table.

 

Well, we all have social media platforms to thank for that. Facebook has done wonders by connecting us with other friends worldwide but unfortunately it has become, these days, a source of stalking, breaking up relationships or an online diary. 

 

We all know that Facebook was first known as Facemash and then later the name changed to thefacebook, but what we tend to forget is how the look, settings and overall theme of Facebook has evolved.

 

The Facebook that was launched in 2004 has transformed tremendously compared to Facebook today.

What a difference… Time has gone by so quickly but somehow it feels like Facebook has been around forever!

 

When reflecting on how its look and functions have developed over the years, you realize how much the site has changed and how long Facebook has actually been around.

 

Can you even remember how you functioned without Facebook?

 

Food for thought… Don’t you think it is incredible that one person could create and design a social media platform which started with 1 million users at the end of 2004 and now has over 1.11 billion users worldwide? Just imagine how Facebook will look 10 years from now.
