Things longer than Oscar's Sentence
It never was going to take long before Twitter pounced on the five-year sentence handed down to Oscar Pistorius. #ThingsLongerThanOscarsSentence has had the Drive team giggling most of the afternoon.
Judge Thokozile Masipa sentenced Oscar Pistorius to five years in prison for killing Reeva Steenkamp.
If all goes well for the paralympian, he might only serve 10 months.
As expected, Judge Masipa's decision faced immediate scrutiny, with what seems to be a majority (on Twitter, anyway) saying it is far too lenient.
As such, a tongue-in-cheek hashtag #ThingsLongerThanOscarsSentence trended on Twitter within minutes of today's final adjournment.
