The Drive Team Gets in on Trend
Updated | By Rory Petzer
After very recent political events, the Drive team decided to get in on the trend and follow suit. Yes, quite literally. And, if truth be told, they think they look rather striking.
The 25 members of the EFF, including leader Julius Malema, arrived at Parliament to be sworn in yesterday wearing bright red overalls, complete with helmets.
Things do sometimes get rather ugly in Parliament, so one could excuse the helmets as a safety precaution, but as for those bright red overalls, perhaps it was laundry day at the EFF Headquarters.
Nevertheless, they trended almost immediately and The Drive Team was eager to get in on that action.
"We always like to be on top of things, and keep with the trends, so this was a unique opportunity to do just that," said anchor Damon Beard.
Producer Rory Petzer and sports guru Andre Bloem agreed saying, "If it trends, we're there."
The Drive Team will table a special meeting tomorrow to consider running in the next national election.
