The Breakfast Stack says goodbye to Sam

The Breakfast Stack bid a very sad farewell to Samson last week. From his terrible driving to his fancy one-liners and amazing singing, it's been a wild ride.

The Breakfast Stack bid a very sad farewell to Samson last week.

From his terrible driving to his fancy one-liners and amazing singing, it's been a wild ride.

"It's been real," says Sam. "If you are ever wondering where the friendliest city in the world is, it's right here, it's Durban. The best radio station? It's East Coast Radio. And the coolest people? The Breakfast Stack. (Don't tell Darren I said that)."

Sam's leaving us to further his studies and see the world, but he says his first mission is to loaf around "supremely", so you might just see him around and about in Durban over the next few months.

Natarah says she's very sad about Sam leaving.

"Sam is one of those people you cannot forget, no matter how hard you try. That's the kind of impact he makes on people, no matter where he is.

"Yes, he's a loud mouth with fancy one-liners that put Darren in his place but he is also the kindest soul with the sweetest smile, when we're able to force one out of him! Sam oozes fun and confidence. Just put him in a room by himself and you've got a full house. Jokes aside, if you're having a bad day, he's got this uncanny ability to turn it into a brilliant one. He's also got a sensitive side, ladies *wink* and is a real gentleman. The Breakfast Stack cannot keep this cool guy all to ourselves so that's why we're letting him venture out into the big unknown. It's a huge loss for us but a win for whoever he meets along the way. Sam, all the best on your travels and God bless!"

In honour of his leaving, Sam took Friday's The Grand Challenge. Take a listen to how it went down here:

And this is how The Breakfast Stack played out...It's Sam's famous Return of Barack.

We're going to miss you tons, Sam!
