St Patrick's Day - Drive style

 

What happens when the Drive team can't broadcast on St Patrick's Day because it falls on a Sunday?

Simple, the Drive team brings St Patrick Day to you!

With some amazing involvement of some of KZN's finest businesses we put out the challenge... Get four mates to the ECR Umhlanga Studios before 5pm and stand a chance to win something...

That was all..

Then people started coming in...

At 5.30pm we kicked off the celebrations with Zaba and Jason learning to Irish Dance thanks to Lindsay Garbutt from Parker Studio of Celtic Dance.

Well Zaba anyway...

Then Zaba drew out the winner's name... Colin!

Colin La Grange along with his wife Cheryl, daughter Dominique and her boyfriend Joshua Montile were in for the night of their lives ( well a fun night anyway).

They were treated to some local beer - thanks to the guys at Odyssey Craft Brewery - amazing stuff - pity we couldn't have any ( rules are rules)

 

Peter from Mozzie Cabs then helped out in a big way by providing not only transport from the studios to the restaurant but also from the restaurant to the hotel the four winners were staying at! The following morning he then also arranged to have them all brought back to ECR to collect their cars! Thank you Peter and Mozzie Cabs!

 

After being picked up, the four headed to The Shamrock inn - an incredible and inviting traditional irish restaurant which treated them like the stars they are!

Judging by the pictures - Colin and his family had a blast- Costa from the Shamrock Inn - thank you for being so welcoming to our winners!!!

 

After dinner the team were taken by Mozzie Cabs to Hotel 64 on Gordon - one of my favourite places to stay - where the four of them were taken care of in the best way possible by Tarryn and her team - including some extra clothing ( they had come to the studios with just the bare essentials)

The next morning the family were picked up and taken back to ECR thanks to Mozzie Cabs - thus ending a truly irish celebration!!
