But for many, there is one thing preventing them from participating in these celebratory acts of love: a date.
Who says Valentine's Day is for couples?
Just because you’re single doesn’t mean you’re alone!
Darren wanted to prove that you can still have fun on Valentine's Day even if you are single.
Here are the Top 10 things for single people to do on Valentine’s Day:
1. Avoid lovers at all costs:
Make it wash day, spring clean day, service the car day, dust the mats day, clean the pool day - just avoid those in love day.
2. Catch up on all those series episodes you missed:
The Walking Dead to Breaking Bad or better yet… Start a whole New series like True Detectives or Black Sails.
3. Celebrate what couples can’t do!
Get home and throw your clothes on the floor. Eat ice cream out of the tub. Drink orange juice from the carton.
4. Many restaurants feel for you:
Set up a singles evening tonight at a local restaurant. So, find the closest restaurant to you, zhoosh yourself up and go break hearts...by yourself.
5. Spoil yourself to a Movie that YOU want to see.
Splurge on the pop-corn, drink and sweets and wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
6. Make some money!
If you schedule it just right, you could baby sit for two or three families and charge a premium.
7. Adopt a pet:
Find out what unconditional love really is.
8. Update social media:
Update your Status on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Watsapp and pimp it out, sexy it up, lie if you have to – (you won’t be the first to)
9. Rebel:
Eat garlic, smoke a cigar and listen to your favourite song over and over and over again because you can
10. Remember, there are going to be a lot of people who are going to drop the Valentine’s ball so there will be a lot of very disappointed Valentines the very next day who will be searching for that new love of their life and there you will be all single, available and ready.
Just keep this in mind: if I as a sexy, talented, amazing, creative and intelligent human being can still be single then you’re OK too.'
