SA group Freshlyground has been denied entry into Zimbabwe, reportedly over a song portraying Robert Mugabe as a chicken. Watch the music video here, and tell the Drive team what you think.
Freshlyground were billed to perform as the main act at the Harare International Festival of the Arts but were turned back at Harare international airport yesterday.
An immigration spokesperson said the band was turned away because they did not have a valid work permit.
The spokesperson, Francis Makiba, told the media to direct any questions to Freshlyground as he said, "They know exactly why they were turned away."
Freshlyground was previously denied entry into Zimbabwe after they released a song called Chicken to Change, poking fun at Mugabe.
