It's the end of my third week on the Flora Strong Heart Programme and I'd be lying if I said I hadn't noticed a change in me. I'm not going to say it has been easy. It has been a bit of hard work but then, who ever succeeded at anything without putting in the effort first right?

After meeting the dietician at the beginning of last week and receiving my diet guidelines my initial thoughts ran from "This is going to be tough" to "ok, if I am going to do this then I have to give a hundred percent commitment". And commit I have. Apart from the really good pasta dish at one of my favourite restaurants last Sunday. I couldn't help myself. But the good thing is I was able to slip straight back into my healthy eating programme without any problems. Someone whispered I should allow myself a cheat day - done and delivered now back to work I told myself.

I'm happy to say that with the encouragement of the team at Prime I have been able to make a few changes I can see lasting me a LONG time to come. I've cut my sugar in my coffee or tea from two spoons to one. My white rice is now brown. My yoghurt now fat free. My milk now skim and my pasta now whole wheat. My 'insides' must surely be rejoicing with satisfaction.

Next time I'll tell you about something I just can't get enough of. For now, gotta run... On the machine.

Here's hoping you're having a strong heart day.
