No arrests in Durban brawl case
Updated | By Staff Writer
Investigations are continuing into the death of a 27-year old Durban man who lost his life after being assaulted near a night club, north of Durban last week.
Floyd Moody had been buying snacks at a garage next to the club...when he was caught in a brawl with two allegedly drunk club patrons during the early hours of last Sunday morning.
His brother Arnold Moody, who was there at the time claims a bouncer from the club got involved and also assaulted Floyd, before dragging him to the centre median of Chris Hani Road.
Arnold says his brother passed away in hospital a few hours later.
KwaZulu-Natal police's Captain Clifford Nicholson says no arrests have been made as none of the witnesses including Moody's brother and a security guard from the petrol station, were able to point out a suspect following an identity parade at the Greenwood Park police station.
"We hoping that somebody else who might have been outside or driving past can come forward and assist us.
"But at this point in time with the brother of the deceased being present, and was unable to point out one of the suspects in line up, we don't know how far we can take it," he said.
