NASA ambassador plans bungee jump

Durban businesswoman Bhanu Haripersad is set to take part in a bungee jump to raise money for a good cause.

Determined businesswoman Bhanu Haripersad is expected to bungee jump off the top of Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium this weekend to raise funds for a worthy cause.
Haripersad is taking 30 students to the NASA Space Centre in the United States of America in June and will this Saturday face her fears of heights and take the leap in order to raise funds for the trip.
She is even prepared to shave her head to fund the experience of a lifetime for the pupils.

Haripersad - the first South African to be apppointed as an ambassador for the Universal Tours Training Programme at NASA's Space Camp at the US Space Rocket Centre in Huntsville in Alabama - was a guest on Makhosi Khoza's show on East Coast Radio this morning.
She told Makhosi that she is stopping at nothing to make sure South African pupils are empowered and exposed to global opportunities.
