Name the royal baby
Updated | By Staff Writer
It's a boy! That's about all we know about the royal baby so far. Speculation on what his name will be has reached an all-time high. The Breakfast Stack wants to know what name your money is on?
The 22nd of July 2013 will be remembered in history as the day the third in line to the British throne was born.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge became proud parents yesterday afternoon, when Kate gave birth to the couple's first child, a boy, at around 5.25pm South African time.
Buckingham Palace says Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news. Prince Charles as well as William’s brother Harry are said to be overjoyed.
The Duchess was admitted to a London hospital yesterday morning, after going into labour.
The child, whose name is still being kept under wraps, was born weighing 3.8kgs.
Yesterday, we gave you our version of what the child might look like. (Yes, we agree, it's a little scary)
Today, we want to know what you would name the royal baby. Keep in mind that the name decided on is likely to set a trend for the next generation of babies, so it's quite a responsibility.
Bets have been placed, and the hot contenders right now are:
George
James
Alexander
Louis
Henry
Philip
The Breakfast Stack's George says it has to be George.
Tell us what name your money is on in the comments' section below. Best options will get a mention on-air.
