Mariah Carey sued by former nanny
Updated | By Rory Petzer
According to several online news reports, Da Costa has filed a lawsuit after allegedly being forced to work 100-hour weeks, without being paid overtime.
Da Costa claims she was forced to be on duty all day, every day, often not even allowing to eat or take a break.
According to Da Costa, Carey regularly reprimanded (and finally fired) her for showing her children too much affection.
Da Costa insinuates Carey was jealous and suspected the babies preferred the nanny to their own mother.
The nanny worked for the singer and the comedian from October 2013 until January 2014, looking after their twins Moroccan and Monroe, now three years old.
Are YOU a nanny / au pair? Can you relate to the above claims made by Da Costa?
Are you expected to go beyond the call of duty without any reward or compensation?
