East Coasters were given a superb treat this morning when Terence Pillay brought three beautiful girls onto The Breakfast Stack.

They are the winners of the Gateway to Fame talent search competition, the brainchild of singer and musician extraordinaire, Shelley McLean.

The performers competed in junior, senior and young adult singing categories, as well as the toughly contested Dance Crew category in the fourth edition of the annual contest.

Ten-year-old Lasandra Majola (Morningside Primary) took home the prize in the junior group. Phindile Dube (Pinetown Girls’ High) grabbed first place in the senior category and Minnie Ntuli (Pinetown Girls’ High) won the young adult trophy.

Terence introduced East Coasters to Shelley McLean and the girls on The Good, the Bad and Ugly this morning.

Shelley first explained how everything started.
Shelley says the Durban kids are a talented bunch.Darren and Terence spoke to the three winners and Darren threw down a challenge!
Of course, the girls had to prove why they are the best. Listen to the stunning jingle they composed for The Breakfast Stack and The Good, the Bad and Ugly.
