There were three seemingly unanswerable questions that have plagued modern man for as long as we can remember when it comes to the question; “What came first?”
The chicken or the egg?
The grain or the grape? (Beer or Wine?)
Human intelligence or human emotion.
The answer to the first two might always remain a mystery, but the third it seems, has been answered.
As the dominant species on this planet, our intelligence, or rather our capacity to find solutions to complex situations using our brains, has been the yard stick to separate us as the apex predator.
But, did we evolve the capacity to empathise due to our increased capacity to think or were we able to think better because we learned to emote.
